Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director who will be responsible for providing an appropriately safe, caring, and enriching environment for all children enrolled. They will be responsible for creating a rapport with families, helping with the supervision of the facility and staff, complying with all standards set by the New Mexico State Licensing Bureau, CACFP requirements, and all other responsibilities listed by ECHO Inc. policies and procedures. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the general oversight of the preschool and employees.
• Assisting the Director with client charges, accounts receivable, and the proper documentation of all said payments.
• Responsible for the preparation and submission of all licenses and member associations in a timely manner.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the menu, food supply, and maintenance supplies. All purchases will fall under the guidance of CACFP and ECHO policies.
• Maintaining Income Eligibility Applications and all required CACFP documents, as well as submitting CACFP documents.
• Completing monthly income statements, reconciling credit card statements, and NM Pre-K invoicing.
• Foster positive relationships with parents through effective communication.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children by maintaining cleanliness, implementing safety protocols, and addressing any health or safety concerns

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two to four years experience working in childcare/management
• Experience with CACFP preferred
• Experience with databases and spreadsheets: including but not limited to Office 365 (word, basic Excel, etc.) and database software
• Candidate must be organized and capable of dealing effectively with multiple stressors, deadlines, difficult situations, and /or parent needs.
• Detail-orientated, organized, multitasker, and purposeful
• Team Player
• Possess a valid New Mexico driver’s license
• Be able to pass a background check and MVR report
• 4-year college degree preferred or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or similar credentials or degrees.

Pay: $33,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
